Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have handicap accessible accomodations?

Unfortunately, we don't have fully accessible accommodations at this time. The bathrooms in our cabins are too small for wheelchairs, and our pathways are gravel. However, we do have accessible bathrooms in our communal bathhouse, and we hope to add fully accessible accommodations in the future!

What do we need to bring?

At Roamstead, we try to make your camping adventure as easy as possible. Linens are provided for your comfort. We also have a camp store with snacks, beverages, and camping gear. For meals, we have an onsite restaurant serving breakfast and pizza. Firewood and ice are also available for purchase form our camp store. Be sure to pack your adventure gear, like hiking shoes, backpack, and weather appropriate clothing. The Smokies are a temperate rainforest, so bring your rain jacket just in case! During the summer months, there are plenty of opportunities for water fun, from the on-site pool, to white water rafting, tubing, rock hopping, and water parks. So, swimsuits are a must!

Do you provide linens?

Yes! Roamstead provides all bedding and towels for our guests in cabins, yurts, and lodge rooms. We also provide pool towels to all guests.

Can I reserve a specific site or cabin/yurt/room number?

Generally speaking, we do not guarantee a specific site number, just your site type. However, we can hold a site for you for an additional $30 site lock fee, subject to availability.

Is Roamstead pet-friendly?

Well-behaved pets are welcome at Roamstead. We just ask that you include your pets on your reservation, as some of our guest facilities are pet-free to accommodate guests with allergies. We want to make sure you’re in the right room! There is a pet fee of $10 per night, per pet for our cabins and yurts. Max of 2 pets per cabin, yurt, and tent site, and 3 pets on RV sites. Pets must be leashed at all times, and owners must clean up after potty breaks, disposing properly of the bags.

Quiet hours are between 10PM and 8AM.

Is Roamstead kid-friendly?

Absolutely! Nature is the best playground. We offer a number of amenities for our youngest guests, including the pool, a playground, yard games, and our Roamstead Ranger Activity Book. We find that kids have the best time playing together and making new friends! We just ask that parents accompany kids while on the property, and that kids are respectful of the property and other guests.

Check out is 10AM for cabins, yurts and lodge rooms, 12PM for RV and tent sites. You may request a late check-out up to 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. If you are experiencing mechanical issues with your RV that will delay your departure, let the office know by 10AM. Do you have electric car chargers?

We have several charging stations throughout the park. Please do not charge vehicles at the RV site podiums.

Of course, we’re close to all those popular attractions like Dollywood, downtown Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge if you’re looking for some excitement. Or, you can stay on the quiet side with a relaxing day at the pool and a stroll through the shops in the nearby Great Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts Community.
